A new estrogen cream, or Premarin, is being developed to offer women the same benefits of a lower estrogen-blocking hormone.
The first estrogen cream, known as Premarin, was announced today for women at the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) Women’s Health Conference and highlighted the benefits of using Premarin as a first-line treatment option.
The cream has been tested extensively to assess its effectiveness and safety. It is a combination of the two hormones, estradiol and progesterone, that are often prescribed to treat breast cancer. However, the most common side effects of the estrogen are nausea, bloating and vaginal dryness.
“It is important to remember that the estrogen cream is not an estrogen cream.
